It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.

No man wants to be second guessed, questioned, doubted, and contradicted by his wife. A wise man will hear advice from his wife, even if it's unpleasant, but a woman who is contrary or demeaning has no love or respect for her husband. It's better to live without shelter than to live with a wife who neither loves nor respects you.
