The serpent (Satan) was the catalyst of Adam and Eve's disobedience and expulsion from the Garden, yet Adam was solely responsible. Similarly, King Nebuchadnezzar was the catalyst of Judah's disobedience (see Isaiah 14) and expulsion from the land, yet King Jehoiachin was solely responsible.

If only Eve or only the people of Judah had sinned, but Adam and Jehoiachin had remained faithful, then perhaps there would have been no fall.
