Just a thought:
Joseph was in jail with a baker and a cup-bearer. Both of them are officials of pharaoh, and both of them should be, if they are doing their job, they should be willing to lay down their life for pharaoh. The cup-bearer would test the drinks, and make sure they are not poisoned, the same way the baker is responsible for making sure that none of the food is poisoned. So, both of these people are in positions that should be willing to lay down their lives out of loyalty to somebody else. That is what their roles are. But what is a baker and a cup-bearer deal with it? It is only bread and wine. But when you look at it as a believer in Yeshua, what immediately jumps into your mind like this is the communion, and what does a communion represent, it reminds you that YHVH, Elohiym of the universe, the King of kings, and Adonai of all, came into this world and was willing to die for you. YHVH played the role of the cup-bearer and the baker. He gave His Blood and His flesh. The blood which is the wine and the bread which is His body -- all to make sure that you could live. Yeshua took that upon Himself, so that you could be with the Father forever. Remember, the baker’s flesh was eaten after he was hanged – Yeshua’s flesh was nailed to the cross! The cup-bearer was restored and he served pharaoh again – Yeshua’s blood made atonement for us and we are restored to serve YHVH without blemish! Amen?
