How we think of worship today is much different than how it was thought of centuries ago. Today some think worship is simply going to a church or synagogue to listen to a message. Others consider it worship to hear music with a message, while someone else may consider it worship to be alone in nature. Genesis 2:15, “Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.” The word cultivate in this translation is a word that also can be translated as worship. Although different than when Abraham took Isaac to worship in Genesis 22:5, which means to bow down, the word in Genesis 2:15 means “to be in the service of”, when we are serving our Creator it is a form of worship.
