I went to a protest yesterday on the Sabbath - I work every second Sabbath and the protest was not far of. It was a protest related to our Pandemic laws in Melbourne, Australia - a very very worth cause as these proposed laws are incredibly dangerous.

But, I want to ask, is protesting on the Sabbath acceptable?

I would protest on Shabbat depending on the issue. The Hebrews had to march around Jericho 7 days. One of those days had to be Shabbat. From what we read about Australia, you all need to be protesting 7 days a week!
