When I got married 26 years ago, there was a lot I never expected to experience in life.

I never expected to have kids [I didn't want them due to severe abuse and I wasn't supposed to be able to have them].

I never expected to be a stay-at-home mom, who would become a homeschooling mom [I was too stupid to homeschool].

I never expected I would need to turn to essential oils because my body/gut couldn't handle swallowing meds.

I never expected to bake my own bread, and I especially didn't expect to mill my own grain! But on my path the wholeness, and a happy, healthy, godly life... I found these things. They were unexpected, and have been a true blessing.

Milling my grain is a process, but the benefits are incredible! 1) I get to see joy in my family's eyes when it's baking and when they slice it up to eat. 2) The amount of nutrition compared to the best, most expensive store bought versions of bread are far superior [truly the bread of life]. 3) Because you have all of the grain intact, no stomach issues for me like with store bought bread.

I now make all my breads, pancake, waffles, pastries and anything else needing flour with home-milled grain! They are amazing!

If you can, I highly recommend it. It is a learning curve, but one well worth pursuing!

What is something you've done, but never expected to, for the welfare of your family?

By the way... the bread was amazing! ?

Happy baking!
