Psalms 2:1:
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? (Aren't they doing this today with Covid and war between countries?)
Psalms 2:2:
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, (THe rulers of the earth take counsel together against Jehovah and against his chosen people, saying. Do they not do this today? Persecution has increased this last year.)
Psalms 2:3:
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. (Let us break their power and cast away the advantages they have over us. I think they are trying to do this today too.)
Psalms 2:4:
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. ( )
Psalms 2:5:
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. (We should be watching lest at any time we let the faith we have received slip.)Psalms 2:6:
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (Yes Yeshua reigns)
Psalms 2:7:
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psalms 2:8:
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. (We do not just belong or serve no one but rather belong to and serve Yeshua at the command of our God Almighty, Yahweh.)
Psalms 2:9:
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. (Our King will be triumphant in the end. Wherefore be of great courage and move only forward. I can picture a column of soldiers in white robes, red up to the waste. Yeshua stands at the head and the soldiers look weak and haggard. Yeshua raises his sword and with a shout says "In the name of Yahweh my father I conquer and all enemies shall fall. There is no other option. FORWARD!" Stand fast and remain moving forward as we will eventually see the one we have been sent to this earth to serve.)
Psalms 2:10:
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. (A warning from God Almighty to the kings of the earth follows)
Psalms 2:11:
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Repent and devote all to God.)
Psalms 2:12:
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (Serve Yeshua, lest he be angry and you fail in all you do when he gets angry. Blessed are all they that obey God and put their trust in him. There is much talk everywhere about the Covid vaccine and laws to help curtail government over reach. Is this trusting in the one we serve to help those who serve him?)This is just a thought and something I thought I would share. I was listening to Handel's Messiah and came across a song from the first 2 verses and decided to look it up to get context as I felt it applied today. Many blessings,
