Except for our Anglo-Saxon ancestors right?!
Right?!
They worshiped entities they called “Gods”.
No capital or small “g” to make the difference. And no need to reach into the antiquity of ancient Israel to adopt the homophone of the idol called Gad (also pronounced exactly like God).
They called idols “Gods”. They called demons “Gods”. They called nature spirits “Gods”. They refered to elves and giants and dead ancestors as “Gods”…
…and then the Roman Church made them monetize it to “God.”
That’s it!
It’s literally that simple of a story.
The Roman Catholic Church we all staunchly oppose gave the okay for the pagan Anglo-Saxons to carry on their pagan tradition of worshiping the entity they called “God” so long as they made it a d kept it singular.
And then they said God is the same as Elohim.
But is it?
Have you checked?
Or have you simply received what you were handed from Christianity and branded it as fact?!
You’re quick to throw out her Easter and Christmas sure. And good for you in doing that… but what difference does it make if you only clean part of your house from pagan practice?!
If you keep the demon God but lose the pagan Yule does YHWH gain the glory?…
Really think about it…
We have from Holy Writ that the nations worship devils, “demons”, sheidim - evil spirits in the things they worship and serve.
That’s what the Scripture says not us.
The pagans sacrifice to demons.
The things the Anglo/Saxon pagans sacrificed to were entities they called “Gods”.
Why should we assume these entities were not also demons?!
And why should we accept the Christian adoption of this terminology just because they made it singular?!
Truly think about it, and study it out? Ask yourself the hard questions!
Are you worshipping a demon believing it to be YHWH? Or are you calling YHWH by the title of an Old English demon?
It’s one or the other of those…
…and neither choice is holy, righteous, and true.
