“Christ Is King” the Christian masses exclaim in response to the overwhelming efforts of the elites to convert their society over to full blown hedonism.
Setting aside for the time-being, the fact that the term “Christ” is an irrelevant replacement and terrible translation of “Messiah”, and assuming for a second we are infact referring to the same individual person named Yeshua (whom most folks feel the need to rename Jesus), the question must be asked, “If He truly is your King, then why do you not follow His commands?”
And if He really is your King, why the need to make Him an English version of a Latin variant of a Greek alternative of the Hebrew He was….and the Hebrew He remains?
Yeshua said, “ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me…”
He also said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them; and they follow Me…”
And, “Why do you call Me, Master, but not do what I say?…”
“Christ Is King” - a noble goal to oppose hedonism if misguided and anglicized, but likely stemming from a pure purpose.
Do you call Him Christ? Do you call Him King?
Then why do you not follow what He taught you?
Your ‘Christ’ and King did not authorize and empower an entity called the Church to rule over you and enforce its will in the world.
He gave us His Instructions, just as He gave to ancient Israel. And then He left with a promise to return.
That doesn’t give license to anarchy in His absence nor oligarchy nor aristocracy nor democracy. Our will shall not be done if we have a King. He commands and we obey His commands…or live as rebels against Him.
The choice is ours.
If you truly believe as you proclaim that He is your ‘Christ’ then follow Him as He taught, not as man’s institutions have said that He taught.
If you really regard Him your King then obey His orders not the orders of those who came later.
To do this requires knowing those instructions and learning how He walked in this world.
Open the book.
Forget that you already know everything in it.
Don’t start at the end this time.
Beginning at the beginning and study slowly and carefully.
Resolve not to know beforehand what matters and doesn’t, what’s fulfilled and what’s not, what’s abolished and what’s not.
Learn it all knowing only that all that first part is all that was Scripture to your ‘Christ’ and King.
And then learning all that came before, only then come back to the gospels and read on down through the letters.
Read thereafter knowing that everything in the first part is being implemented in the last part.
Everything written in the first part is believed by those writing the second part.
Read without the end of the story first then see if what the Scriptures say match the claims of those who claim to hold the authority of the King.
Take your time. Truth can not be rushed. It can be quickly labeled and later regretted, but it can only be discovered slowly if genuinely true.
If you really, truly believe Yeshua is the Anointed One (though you may now call Him by other names and titles), then it’s of vital importance to your faith that you check to see whether or not everything others have said about Him is real or not.
If He is actually your King, then His orders not those relayed by faithless men must be found and followed.
