Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing

Don’t let parenthetical doctrines distract people from the purpose of our daily life and duty.

Try to think for just a minute… You have not been up high enough to look down upon the Earth and see whether or not there is a curve to the horizon.… And yes, all governments lie to you about many things, but that does not mean they lie to you about everything. Some of you believe the Earth is flat and teach that as if you know from personal experience. But there is a difference between what you know and what you believe to be so.

Yeshua said, “We speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen…”

We only know what we remember what we have interacted with personally and what we have actually done ourselves.

For other matters we have to believe or disbelieve based on the evidence and based upon our best deductions…

But then we have to determine whether or not what we believe is important enough to make a big deal out of or whether or not we believe, if taught by us, would distract our audience from greater issues…

Is it the most important point? Is it what will help people find the truth of the Scriptures? Is it what will help people know who their Messiah is? Is it what will help people know their creator? Is it what will help people have the best life upon this earth and walk uprightly in relation to their neighbor and their Maker?

If the answer is not yes, then you need to relocate those beliefs to your personal life and keep silent about them or in the very least, be humble about them, and keep them parenthetical to the principle points.

We Calvarians do not believe the world is flat… And if somehow we were able to be brought up high and see down and decide empirically the shape of the planet only then could we manage to set such a thing in a category of knowledge over belief.

We do not BELIEVE the earth is flat…But nobody KNOWS it is or isn’t.

We all have to live here, however, and we have nowhere else to live. The shape of this material is immaterial.… The shape of our character is all that matters and all that we have power to truly know and shape.

The Truth of the Torah, the Way of YHWH, and the Life of learning to follow Yahshua is confusing enough for the average person to find, to accept as true and to learn how to implement properly on this perverted planet.

It is supposed to be a simple life, but made very complicated by exile. And here in the Diaspora we have enough to worry about and too much just to try to keep the commandments of our Heavenly Father in a fallen world that does not know Him nor fear Him.

How many people out there are searching for the truth of the Scriptures, will run into someone teaching about the flatness of the planet instead of the Instructions of the Master on how to live here? And they refuse the message… Not because they did not want the truth, but because what they were given was a parenthetical message that smacks of insanity and cultishness.

Clean up your teaching. Prioritize the message of Messiah. Differentiate between what you believe and what you know. And don’t confuse the one for the other…so that you fobt confuse your audience.

Put first things first. And stop driving people away, who are begging for understanding of the Father’s Instructions, because you have a preoccupation with the shape of things…
