The problem with taking a few days away is trying to catch up when you return but you do have the opportunity to see things differently. Solomon offers some words for those who repent and then return to their sinful ways — Proverbs 26, 11, “As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.” Repeating the same things that cause the need for repentance is foolish and Solomon warns against it with this harsh analogy.
