2 Home work questions for all you bright minds tonight. Questions very little believers think about:

1) Can you force yourself on YHVH Elohiym, to be part of His Kingdom?

2) Does satan also give spiritual gifts to his followers?

Hmm, great questions. I have never thought on these topics.

1. I see in Scripture people asking Father for something to happen on earth while they are still alive and it isn't in His plan, but yet He gives it to them. (By the way, it seldom ends well for the person...)

I can't recall any reference where someone can force themselves to be part of His Kingdom though. You are either accepted into the Kingdom or rejected.

2. Wow!!! He must. Look at the people we are instructed not to visit or allow to live; medium, wizards, etc. They must have some powers/gifts that are physical.

It makes me think of Revelation and the image of the beast that is given power to speak... Yes, many are coming to believe that it is likely going to be an AI controlled robot, but what if it isn't???

Here is another thought, if satan does give people gifts then what are their fruit? Is it the opposite of the Fruit of the Spirit and if so, how many people exhibit those fruit and still call themselves followers of Yeshua?

I have heard people associate doing the commands in the Old Testament as "trying to earn God's love". This could not be further from the truth.

As with the example in the comic, do you not do the same when you have guests/loved ones come over? Do you not do a bunch of preparation in order for everything in the house to look its best? Do you not make special foods for those guests? Do you not have other activities possibly planned, like a favorite board game?

Are you trying to earn their love? NO! You are showing you are paying attention to them and that you care for them. You are showing that you love them.

The same goes with the Father. You may see someone that is following what the Bible says to do on how to live and they do all this work before a rest day. All this preparation in order to make sure that on the rest day, they do not have to do anything. Why? To spend time with the Father on His appointed time! He rested in Creation and made the day special. Then He made several other rest days, the Holy Days we covered earlier, all to spend time with Him!

If you had guests over, would you go out and mow the lawn? Run to the grocery store for that weekly load of food? Of course not. Again, other things that you would plan for so that those things would not have to be done while the guests are there.

But I hear you saying "but, Joshua, God is always with us." Yes, He is. So were your parents when you were younger. Did you not have special times that the family would set aside to come together? Maybe nightly meals? Or holidays? Why would that be needed if they were there with you all the time?

Currently, I am with my children most of the day every day, but as a father, I still need that special time with them. The time of coming together as a family that everyone is present and focused. Dinner, a game night, a movie, whatever. That time is still special to me, a way for us to show love to each other. I see the Father viewing us and His appointed times the same way.

And for those celebrating: Happy Day of Atonement!

God commanded Israel to keep #yomkippur forever, no matter where they live. Leviticus 16:29, 23:31, and Numbers 29:7

There are some aspects of Yom Kippur that are impossible outside of the Land of Israel and without a functioning temple, but God knew that when he gave these instructions. We do what we can and let God worry about the rest.

Now here is a tough one, what if the "angry man" is your dad or father-in-law? How does this fit in with honoring your parents?

I ask as this is true in my life and I have been struggling to figure out the acceptable way forward.

Isaiah 6: 9-10 stood out this morning for me. It says:

And He said, “Go, and tell this people:
‘Keep on listening, but do not understand;
Keep on looking, but do not comprehend.’
“Make the heart of this people insensitive,
Their ears dull,
And their eyes dim,
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed.”

Isn't that so true of the world today. We see without truly seeing, hear without hearing and our hearts aren't truly turned to Father.

I pray that Father will reveal Himself to all of us during Atonement so that we will "return and be healed". Amein

Thought For Today: Monday September 25:

The remarkable truth in life is that our choices matter, not just to us and our own destiny but amazingly to Elohiym Himself and the universe He rules.

In the Name of Yeshua, I cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that YHVH delights in. I choose to be a good, loyal wife to my husband and address him with respect. I will not be overanxious and intimidated. I purpose to be, by God’s Grace, agreeable, sympathetic, loving, compassionate and humble. I will be a blessing and also receive blessings. By the Grace of |God, I yield to the constant ministry of transformation by Ruach HaKodesh. I am being transformed into a gracious woman who retains honour, and a virtuous woman who is a crown to my husband. I purpose to walk wisely that I may build my house. Houses and riches are the inheritance of Abbas: and a prudent wife is from Adonai. In Moshiach I have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His Grace which He made to abound towards me in all wisdom and prudence. Ruach Kodesh, I ask You to help me understand and support my husband in ways that shows my support for Moshiach. Teach me to function so that I preserve my own personality while responding to his desires. We are one in flesh, and I realize that this unity of persons that preserves individuality is a mystery, but that is how it is when we are united to Moshiach. So I will keep on loving my husband and let the miracle keep happening. Just as my husband gives me what is due me, I seek to be fair to my husband. I share my rights with my husband. Strength and dignity are my clothing and my position in my household is strong. My family is in readiness for the future. I will not eat the bread of idleness – gossip, discontent and self-pity. I choose to conduct the affairs of my household wisely, realizing that wisdom from above is pure, peaceful, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy, in Yeshua Name, amen.

When Moses descended Sinai on #yomkippur, his face shone with rays or "horns" of light because of his time spent communing with God. On Yom Kippur, the High Priest anoints the horns of the altar of incense, which represents our prayers to God.

We don't have to climb any mountains to meet with God and there is no altar of incense today--we worship him wherever we are "in spirit and in truth"--but his appointed times remain. He has set aside special days on which he wants us to set aside all of the business of the world to focus all our attention on him.
