Philosophy can do a lot to a country very quickly, especially if its people are unstable… it seems that every country has been repeating this cycle after a while after they start to forget the lesson history teaches them on this, sadly. Why we are called to be lights and witnesses of Him

The official record of Hanukkah is 1 Maccabees. The Jews blended with the Greeks and got smote. Lighting the Menorah was the sign that the temple was cleansed and the #torah restored. I light a 7 candle candlestick to commemorate that cleansing but also looking forward to the never-defiled Menorah Yeshua is bringing with the temple not made with hands at His return. All mankind will go to Jerusalem for Sukkot in the future. If the Torah will be kept when the #messiah returns, why not start today?

First night of the Feast of Dedication. It’s a remembrance of the faithful cleansing paganism from Judea and restoring the Torah. Yeshua is going to do the same thing for the whole world when He returns. #hannukah

Christianity's view of tribulation is something that comes up suddenly, like an invasion. That's not how it works in the Bible. Rome occupying Judea at the time of Yeshua was tribulation that led up to the slaughter in AD70. The Jews mixing with the Greeks that led to the need for the Maccabean revolt was the beginning of tribulation. Solomon allowing the paganism to mix was the beginning of tribulation that led to the Babylonia captivity.

All of God's appointed times have prophetic significance. Hanukkah isn't one of the times God appointed in the Law, but it still commemorate events that are part of a Scriptural, prophetic pattern.

Bilhah and Zilpah are called Jacob's wives in Genesis 37:2. But...but... weren't they just concubines? That depends on what you mean by "just".

In the ancient Hebrew culture of the Bible, a concubine was a wife with the added obligations of servitude. She wasn't a prostitute, temporary wife, or "side thing". Her husband had to provide for her just like he did for a free wife and he couldn't kick her out when he was tired of her.
