In Acts P4 we read Peter's address to the crowd on the day of Pentecost. The apostles had just been anointed by the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel and this is the very first message that was spoken by any who have received God's Spirit after Jesus ascension.
Peter opens and closes this initial message by reminding the people of their connection to the promises of God. In A by addressing them by their nationality which on the mind of a first century Jew who was in Jerusalem for the festival of Shavu'ot (Pentecost), the promises that God had made to them would be front and center. In B Peter makes it very clear that the message that he is declaring is centered around receiving the Holy Spirit as he had just done and as had been prophesied would happen (B). And this is accomplished by calling upon the name of Jesus (C).
In D Peter recalls the events of 50+ days previously. Those who were present for Shavu'ot likely would have been present in Jerusalem on Passover as well due to them both being pilgrimage festivals, and so he reminds them of the not too distant crucifixion and the innocent man who God had revealed as the Savior. This man who had died so recently is not dead at all (E). He has been raised back to life and has been raised up to the right hand of the Father in the heavens (E'). This man is the Messiah for He is greater than David. David spoke of Him and David was not raised from the dead (F).
But now Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father and was the first to receive the promise of the Holy Spirit which they had just witnessed being poured out on man (G). This man Jesus was not abandoned to the grave or the realm of the dead, and His body did not see corruption in accordance with the prophecies spoken of the Holy One of God (H).
And in I Peter gets to the point. David saw death. But Jesus has conquered death. He is alive and He gives life to all. Death has no power now that it has been defeated and we too can have eternal life, just as Jesus has.

Peter Addresses the Crowd
A: 14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them, "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.
..B: 15 For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: 17 "'And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; 18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. 19 And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; 20 the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
....C: 21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'
......D: 22 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know-- 23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.
........E: 24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.
..........F: 25 For David says concerning him,
............G: 25 "'I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;
..............H: 26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. 27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption.
................I: 28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.'
................I': 29 "Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,
..............H': 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.
............G': 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.

........E': 34 did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, 35 until I make your enemies your footstool.'
......D': 36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."
....C': 37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins,
..B': 38 and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 41;6, “Some people come to see me. But they lie. They just come to get bad news. Then they go and gossip.” (ICB) David realizes that not everyone is honest. some people try and fool other people, some try to fool themselves and some even try to fool the Creator. They don’t understand that they are transparent. Bad news will spread quickly when good news is often slow to be shared. True believers should be the first to stop gossip and the first to praise our Creator for HIs miracles. Ask yourself what you are passing on when speaking to others, is it gossip or is it praise?
Deuteronomy 22:1-30 Thou shalt not see thy brothers ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brothers, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
Thou shalt not see thy brothers ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsels virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
And the damsels father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her fathers house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her fathers house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbours wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsels father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
