Shavuot (Pentecost) Is tomorrow!
Exodus 34:21-27 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the years end.
Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before YHWH Elohim, the Elohim of Israel.
For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before YHWH thy Elohim thrice in the year.
Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of YHWH thy Elohim. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
And YHWH said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
Thought for Today: Sunday June 05:
Worship YHVH in the beauty of holiness. All true beauty reflects some of Who He is. He is working His Ways in you; the Divine Artist creating loveliness within your being. His main work is to clear out sin debris and clutter, making room for His Ruach to take full possession. Collaborate with Him in this effort by being willing to let go of anything He choose to take away. He knows what you need and He have promised to provide all of that – Abundantly! Your sense of security must not rest in your possessions or in things going your way. He is training you to depend on Him alone, finding fulfilment in His Presence. This entails being satisfied with much or with little, accepting either as His will for the moment. Instead of grasping and controlling, you are learning to release an receive. Cultivate this receptive stance by trusting YHVH in every situation.
Some people will start celebrating Pentecost/Shavuot tonight, but is it the real date? For those wondering it’s actually next week! But for everyone else that will be celebrating it at sun down or tomorrow happy Shavuot to you. If it were left to me I’d celebrate tonight, tomorrow and next week! All praise be to Yah! ??
A family should exhibit some degree of cohesion. Family members should look out for one another, encourage each other, and love one another through the endless trials of this life. But if we have trouble doing that in our own flesh-and-blood families, how can we hope to do better as the family of God?
