I'm amused at peoples perception of what they think Biblical music sounded like. They complain about music being too loud or fast. King David mentions these things when talking about praise music: trumpets, dance, timbrels, and loud cymbals..... followed by MORE high sounding cymbals. He also mentions a good old fashion SHOUT of praise. Do you really think he's talking about a lullaby here?
"Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals."
(Psa 150:3-5 KJV)
"To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. "
(Psa 47:1 KJV)

My website is www.torahfamilyliving.com, where I have books and resources for Torah moms and homeschoolers. I also sell used books and will be offering proofreading services in the near future. To add to the ideas here, I find that openly sharing each other's businesses in blog posts, newsletters, etc can be very effective. We need to know who has a business, though. Perhaps a directory would be helpful. One that we could link to on our sites would be even better.
