For if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,
#exodus 10:4 #bo

Pharaoh thought poorly of the Hebrews but also feared that their growing numbers would overwhelm Egypt. Once again, God gave Pharaoh more of what he already believed he had, but in the form of a plague of locusts: a lowly horde that overwhelmed Egypt. See Exodus 10:4-6.

Interesting how that works, huh?

My view is that it is okay for guys to have long hair. As long as the guy looks like a guy and is not easily mistaken for a woman.

Some people may quote the Apostle Paul saying that long hair on a man is a disgrace. But a lot of people overlook the fact that Paul was a Nazarite himself and therefore, had long hair too for a time.

A very good question. There are many instances in scripture that speak about hair ..whether cutting it, shaving it or leaving it long. Paul is the only one that I've seen
that admonishes men for having long hair, altho the question is...what is defined as long? Priests are told to neither shave their head nor let it go long, but to keep it trimmed. A nazarite vow is the only instance I see where a man is to have long hair, but you cut it after your vow is compelted. I suppose, it's a matter of what is the inner most voice telling you that you may be shushing? Ultimately, it is between you and Yah. If you are truly seeking an answer, it is found in scripture...it's just whether we want to hear it or not. My thought and prayers are with you on your journey to the answer for your question.

#exodus 9:35 says that Pharaoh hardened his own heart. The Hebrew word for hardened in this verse is chezek, which also means to strengthen. The very next verse, 10:1, says that God hardened Pharaoh's heart. The Hebrew word for hardened in the 2nd verse is chabad, which also means to make heavy (as in important) or to glorify. The implication is that Pharaoh resolved to defy God, so God encouraged him by inflating his ego, making him think that he might be able to get away with it.

Welcome to art & paintings!

This group is made by me, Nina Björk on a inquiry from The Torah Network. I am happy for the inquiry and hope that we, the artist of Torah belivers and art interested Torah belivers, can find each other here, and maybe you can find something you like.

I work as an proferssional artist, paint mostly in oil or acrylic and have education in portrait art. I love to listen to music or text from books or teachings or listen or chat with a friend when I paint. It have a good effect on how I paint, it makes me more relaxed and free in my expression.

Painting "Words With Wings", oil on canvas, by Nina Björk. (Has been exhibit 2019, in Israel at YadLaBanim Gallery).

FORGIVENESS -- PART 4

WHAT CAN I DO TO ACTIVATE YHVH’S LOVING FORGIVENESS?
2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people ... will humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land. 1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us. -- Confessing sin is the first step to forgiveness.

WHY WOULD YHVH WANT TO FORGIVE ME FOR A TERRIBLE SIN?
Numbers 14:19: Please pardon the sins of this people because of Your magnificent, unfailing Love. YHVH’s Love is His motivation for His forgiveness.

DO I HAVE TO FORGIVE OTHERS WHO HURT ME?
Matthew 6:14-15: If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. -- We will receive YHVH’s forgiveness only when we are willing to forgive others who have wronged us.
Mark 11:25-26: When you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. -- We will receive YHVH’s forgiveness only when we are willing to forgive others who have wronged us.
Luke 17:3-4: If another believer sins, rebuke him; then if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him. -- Forgiveness doesn’t have to be cheap.
Matthew 18:21-22: Peter came to Him and asked, Adonai, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times? No! Yeshua replied, seventy times seven! -- Just as YHVH forgives us without limit, we should forgive others without counting how many times.
Luke 23:34: Yeshua said, Father, forgive these people, because they don’t know what they are doing. -- Yeshua forgave those who mocked Him and killed Him.
Colossians 3:13: You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, Elohim forgave you, so you must forgive others. 1 Peter 3:8-9: Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate when people say unkind things about you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what YHVH wants you to do and He will bless you for it. -- YHVH wants us to respond to others’ sins by blessing them.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF TIMES WE SHOULD FORGIVE A PERSON? IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH YHVH WILL FORGIVE ME?

Isaiah 1:18: Come now, let us argue this out, says Elohim. No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool. Joel 2:32: Anyone who calls on the Name of Elohim will be saved. -- No matter how sinful and disobedient we have been, we can receive YHVH’s forgiveness by turning to Him in repentance.
Psalm 86:5: O Elohim, You are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing Love for all who ask Your aid. Psalm 103:3: He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. Ezekiel 18:22: All their past sins will be forgotten and they will live because of the righteous things they have done. -- YHVH is ready to forgive us.
Matthew 18:23-27: The Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date .... one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions. He couldn’t pay ... Then the king was filled with pity for him and he released him and forgave his debt. -- YHVH is merciful toward us, even though our debt is so great.
Luke 24:47: With My authority, take this message of repentance to all the nations, beginning in Yerushalayim: There is forgiveness of sin for all who turn to Me. Ephesians 1:7: He is so rich in kindness that He purchased our freedom through the Blood of His Son and our sins are forgiven. Colossians 1:14; YHVH has purchased our freedom with His Blood and has forgiven all our sins. -- YHVH will forgive every sin because Moshiach has already paid the penalty for all sin by His death.
Mark 3:28-29: anyone who blasphemes against Ruach HaKodesh will never be forgiven. It is an eternal sin. -- Those who harden themselves against YHVH’s Ruach and reject Him utterly will never experience His forgiveness.
Luke 17:4: Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him. -- Does Love have a limit? Neither does forgiveness!
