The Torah states in Numbers 15:38: "Speak to the Children of Israel, and say to them, that they shall make themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and they shall put on the corner tassel a blue-violet (Tekhelet) thread." Wearing the Tzitzit is also commanded in Deuteronomy 22:12: "You shall make yourself twisted cords, on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself."

Another Torah keeper today chastised me for praying for the Afghani Believers. My spirit and what I know of YHVH tells me that it is altogether right to pray for them. Am praying not just for physical safety, but that their faith will sustain them and they have an opportunity to grow spiritually. Thoughts?

Blessed are You Adonai Eloheinu, for You sent the prophets, John the Baptist and the Apostles to prepare Your way. You have told us of Your coming and You reveal Yourself to us in Yeshua. You come to each of us in power and in love. Blessed are You Father. Adonai, we give thanks for all who tell of Your love and who proclaim Your coming. We ask Your blessing on all disciples, preachers and upon all here on TTN who teach the Scriptures and tell of Your coming. Bless all who are baptised into Your presence and power. Adonai, we ask forgiveness when Your Church misuses the resources You have given it and when we fail to live up to You teaching and love. We bring to You the troubles and sorrows of our world. We pray for all who are caught up in war and violence and all who suffer from the greed and insensitivity of others. May we not misuse or squander the earth’s resources but use them with care and for the benefit of all. We ask Your blessing on all leaders, politicians and governments. We ask Your blessing upon all who do not look forward to the future. We ask Your blessing on all who are homeless, lonely and all who are poor or deeply in debt. We pray that our homes may be places of love and peace, where You are always welcome. May we know that in the coming of others to us, You also come and seek our love. We think of those who are ill and suffering at this time, all who are distressed and those who are over-burdened. May they know Your peace and experience Your presence. May all who walk in darkness come to know Your Light and Your love. We pray for all who are in hospitals, hospices, care homes and in institutes. We think of all our loved ones departed and we pray for those who have died recently. May they rejoice in the fullness of life and be with You in glory. Adonai, fill us with Your Spirit, forgive us and take the lead and guide us in Your ways. We ask for Your ways and not ours, Your Will and our will be done in everything. God Bless the soul of beautiful Jasmine and bless her sweet two year old son, Sebastian. Help bring comfort and strength to her family as they cope with this heart breaking loss. Help all of the people and animals affected by Domestic Violence. Please pray for the safety and protection of all those suffering in Afghanistan. God Bless the troops assisting evacuation. As he continues in Ephesians chapter 5, Rabbi Steve Berkson untangles the understanding that many have concerning disobedience, sin, covenant and what it looks like to truly love Messiah Yeshua.
• What are “empty words”?
• What does it mean to be “a partaker with them”?
• Who are you to “have no fellowship with”?
From there Rabbi Berkson takes us to 1 Timothy chapter 1 and explains how some have missed the goal of the command given by Paul to his disciple from a clean heart, a good conscience and a sincere belief, and have turned aside to senseless talk, some actually teaching that the Torah no longer applies to us today, just that we believe and love Messiah.
Then Rabbi Berkson moves us to 2 Peter chapter 1 where we see Peter telling us that we have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by the righteousness of our Elohim and Savior Messiah Yeshua. Rabbi Berkson also points out that belief in Elohim and His Messiah is just the foundation, and that you need to “add” to that foundation with certain things.

Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings.
