I haven't looked at it in many years, but I will share what I recall from my encounters with it: as one who reads Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, I found it to be somewhat in error when it came to the many places where it transliterates Hebrew terms in the translation. The problem I recall was that in some instances the terms given were not what was actually in the text when I was reading along in the Hebrew, which is actually very odd, and obviously problematic. I remember there being some other points of concern when it came to the NT portion, but I don't recall clearly enough to address them specifically. But as a translator, if I had to suggest a Messianic / Hebraic themed Bible, I would not go with this one OR the Cepher. There are many generally very good translations out there. So I would highly encourage you to consider this and also to get the input of others before making purchasing decisions. Whatever your decision, may you be drawn ever closer to Him and His truths. Shalom =)

I don't think I am going to buy this translation because I read samples of it and find it hard to understand. I might by the Apocrypha by itself though.

When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.”
Matthew 8:5-6

The centurion in Matthew 8 had power and wealth, but he humbled himself to approach an itinerant preacher on behalf of a slave. He commanded Roman soldiers, but he recognized Yeshua as his superior. The centurion both served and commanded those under his authority without contradiction or confusion.

They confiscate the the fields they desire and seize the houses they want. They defraud the people of their homes and deprive people of the land they inherited.
Therefore the LORD says this: "Look, I am devising disaster from this nation! It will be like a yoke from which you cannot free your neck. You will no longer walk proudly, for it will be a time of catastrophe.
In that day people will sing this taunt song to you-they will mock you with this lament. 'We are completely destroyed; they sell off the property of my people. How they remove it from me! They assign our fields to the conqueror.'"
Therefore no one will assign you land in the LORD's community.
"Don't preach with such impassioned rhetoric," they say excitedly.
"There prophets should not preach of such things; we will not be overtaken by humiliation."
Does the family of Jacob say, "The LORD"s patience can't be exhausted - He would never do such things"?
To be sure, my commands bring a reward for those who obey them, but you rise up as an enemy against my people.
You steal a robe from a friend, from thsoe who pass by peacefully as if returning from a war. You wrongly evict widows among my people from their cherished homes. You defraud their children of their prized inheritances. But you are the ones who will be forced to leave! For this land is not secure; sin will thoroughly destroy it! If a lying windbag should come and say, "I'll promise you blessings of wine and beer, he would be just the right preacher for these people!
-Micah 2:1-11

And David said to Solomon his son: "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; fear not, nor be dismayed; for YHVH God, even my God, is with you; He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of YHVH is finished."
