In this teaching Rabbi Steve Berkson continues in the second “Great Command” of loving your neighbor or loving each other. He takes up where we left off in James (Ya’akov) chapter 4, then moves into chapter 5, then takes us to 1 John chapter 1.
• How do your likes or dislikes affect your relationship with others? What does Rabbi mean by saying we have to “learn each other”?
• What does “friendship with world” mean?
• What does “subject yourselves to Elohim” mean?
• What does “resist the devil” mean?
• How do you draw near to Elohim? How does Elohim draw near to you?
• When pursuing Torah, who’s feelings are you concerned most about protecting – your friends and family or Elohim?
• How would you define ‘sin’?
• Do you really understand what the first two verses of 1 John is talking about?
Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings.

Today's Poem
YHVH moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform
He plant His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm
Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up his bright designs
And works His sovereign will
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head
Judge not our Father by feeble sense
But trust Him for His grace
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face
His purposes will ripen fast
Unfolding every hour
The bud may have a bitter taste
But sweet will be the flower
Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain
YHVH is His own interpreter
And He will make it plain.
PRAYERS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT -- PART 5
O YAHVEH and ADONAI of the Powers; Elohim of all creation, in Your incomparable mercy, You sent Your only begotten Son and our Adonai Yeshua HaMashiach for the salvation of humankind. Through His Holy cross You tore apart the record of our sins and thereby conquered the rulers and powers of darkness. Receive from us sinful people, O merciful Master, these prayers of gratitude and supplication, and deliver us from every destructive and gloomy transgression and from all visible and invisible enemies who seek to injure us. Discipline our flesh with a Holy fear, and let not our heart be prone to words or thoughts of evil. Pierce our soul with Your love. Let us contemplate You, be enlightened by You, and discern You, the unapproachable and everlasting light. May we offer unceasingly our gratitude to You: The eternal Father, with Your only begotten Son, and with Your all Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and from age to age. (1 Corinthians 4).
O YAHVEH, my Elohim, gives me a heart to thank You. Lift up my heart above myself, to You and Your eternal throne. Let it not linger here among the hardships and turmoil of this lower world. Let it not be oppressed by any earth-born clouds of care or anxiety or fear or suspicion. Bind my heart wholly to You and to Your love. Give me eyes to see Your love in all things and Your grace in all that surrounds me. Help me to thank You for Your love and Your grace to all and in all. Give me wings of love that I may soar up to You, cling to You, adore You, and praise You more and more, until I am prepared to enter into the joys of Your everlasting love. (1 Corinthians 13).
Fill me, O HaMashiach, with wonder, love, and praise, that I may praise You, YAHVEH SHAMMAH with us. O Adonai, be my light and my strength. O Adonai, in my weakness, perfects Your strength. O Adonai, make me Your messenger. O Adonai, arm me with the sword of Your Spirit. Adonai Yeshua, speak to me that I may speak for You. Adonai Yeshua, help me to speak the truth. Enable me to show how sweet it is to love You, to weep with You and to rejoice with You. (2 Corinthians 12).
You, O eternal Trinity, are a deep sea into which, the more I enter, the more I find, and the more I find, the more I seek. O abyss, O eternal Godhead, O sea profound, what more could You give me than Yourself? (Galatians 4).
Give to us, O YAHVEH, the girdle, the helmet, the breastplate, the shield, the sandals, the sword; and above all things, prayer. Grant to us the power and opportunity of well-doing, that before the day of our departure comes, our efforts may have produced good fruit. Allow us to behold Your presence in righteousness and be fulfilled with Your Glory, for HaMashiach’s sake. (Ephesians 6).
Govern everything by Your wisdom, O Adonai, so that my soul may always be serving You in the way You will and not as I choose. Let me die to myself so that I may serve You; let me live to You who are life itself. (Philippians 1).
Father, grant to us true family love, That we may belong more entirely to those whom You have given us, Understanding each other, day by day, more instinctively, Forbearing each other, day by day, more patiently, Growing, day by day, more closely into oneness with each other. (Colossians 3).
Israel, a patriarchal FAMILY, is demonstrated over and over again to have tribal and clan identification. This is how we will be restored! The process is families to clans to tribes....
Now, i do expect in the future we may be 'adjusted' or moved by our Messiah from where we *think* we belong to where we actually belong, but in the meantime, it is incumbent upon us to learn and walkout tribalism at the family and clan level.
Walking out Yah's structure begins with MEN learning and teaching their respective families in proper authority structure, then begining to walk it out. As such families come together, the men learn mutual respect, communication, and what patriarchal eldership looks like.. Then, grow your clan by teaching the basics if leadership, patriarchy, family, etc in conjunction with Torah and the Besorah.
Further, grow your clan with outreach to those around. Find, bring in, and disciple new families in The Way and in what Scripture says re: authority, geadship, and family structure.
