I was copying Scripture this morning and I realized just how many "therefores" are in the book of Colossians. I counted 5 just in chapters 2-3. Therefore connects thoughts almost like an if-then statement. When I was a kid, I was taught that when you see a therefore, you need to ask what it is there for. This usually means you need to back up a few paragraphs. Always read Scripture in context!!
