I'm honestly tired of the covid and vaccine topic amongst my family and friends. It has truly put such a huge wedge when it comes to our relationships. How are you all managing these topics? Avoidence?

Yes I agree. It is the main subject of discussions wherever you go and everyone has an opinion. If only people could discuss the Word as often, over the media, at work or at home, this earth would have been in a better place.

Covid, whether fake or true, is the largest event that has happened in everyone's memories. It is so far reaching across the entire world and it impacts how/where you work, spend your free time, how you worship, etc. It is therefore difficult to get away from a discussion that doesn't contain the subject. It is almost like having a conversation in the UK without first talking about the weather. ?

I will myself try to steer conversations in a different direction when possible, but it always tends to drift back to the impact of Covid. Then there are the people who will only speak about it and them I try to pull away from as their faith in Father is 0 and they tend to also reject Him as well. My prayers remain with them, but my body pulls away.

I therefore tend to spend more time with those who are like-minded; basically my household for now and believers whose eyes are open to what is happening.

It doesn't seem to come up too often. If it does, I treat it like any other topic. If they say something I disagree with, depending on if I want to stay on the topic or not I will either suggest another perspective or just respond with a "yeah, that's interesting" or "I don't know" or something similar that fits and doesn't require me to elaborate any further and opens the conversation to something else. Everyone has opinions and a key thing of being a good family member/friend is listening to those opinions. We all want to be heard.
