Part 1 as there is another discussion between God and Church I want to have. Church's responses here are inspired by actual conversations I have had or seen on this subject. I've covered the two Biblical accounts in other comics as well (links below), so I won't go into the reasons why Church is wrong using those here. But how stubborn of a people have we become? I've read the Biblical account of the Israelites and in the Prophets where God is calling the people stiff-necked and begging them to return to His Ways. In my church days, I never understood why they wouldn't turn back.
Now, I see it as we people who say we follow God are doing the same thing. We have had 2,000 years of people twisting His Word to mean what we want it to mean. We forgot the words of Peter, someone who followed Jesus/Yeshua in the flesh, who warned us that Paul is hard to understand, then turn around and base most of our beliefs on Paul's words first, then interpret the rest of Scripture through that lens. So when we get to these two accounts mentioned, we read it that "oh, it doesn't matter what we eat anymore. Paul said so, so this is just confirmation of it". Instead of what the accounts are actually trying to tell us.
