Dec. 19, 1907: A day of 'heart-piercing shrieks of grief' in a Westmoreland coal town - Pittsburgh Union Progress

As lunchtime neared, Maria Campbell stepped into the kitchen of her home in the tiny Pennsylvania coal town of Van Meter and began preparing lunch for her husband, William Campbell, a foreman at the nearby Darr mine. William’s habit was to exit the m

Lily Portion for Today

Housewives, remember, prayer is releasing the energy of YHVH, because prayer is to ask Him to do what seems impossible to you. (Prayer: Adonai, You have called me to be the heartbeat of this household. Please make me sincere, faithful and obedient to Your Holy Will. Thank you for this wonderful privilege of being a mother, amein)

Numbers chapters 22 and 23 record the deeds of Balaam and Balak. The letter to the church in Pergamum indicates there were some there who were learning the teaching of Balaam so many years later. Revelation 22:14, “But I have a few things against you, because some of you hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block before the Israelites so they would eat food sacrificed to idols and commit sexual immorality.” Unfortunately there are many churches today that have the same problem, maybe they should consider this letter a warning for them as well…

Controversial topic for this month's discussion and many do have different opinions on this. I would really like to see what and how people think and react to this. Maybe help me learn more on this subject. But as for now, I believe Paul has changed many of Yeshua's teaching and if you look at many "believers" -- they follow Paul's teachings rather than Yeshua's teachings.

I agree. I hear "but Paul said..." far too often. The translation read does make a little difference though. I have the Aramaic English New Testament. Paul isn't interpretted as talking in circles so much, but there are still key places where he doesn't jibe with Yeshua, the prpophets, or Torah. I've had many people over the past two decades try to explain these inconsistencies away. Reuel did help me understand what Paul mens by "natural" when talking about head coverings, but he left out why Paul goes through that discourse, only to say they had no tradition of women wearing head coverings. Yet, many congregations believe they should cover. I have a list of places I have found contradictions in Paul's leters that I have shared elsewhere on here. I can repost if needed. The list used to be longer, but the AENT helped resolve some.

Nick, your question isn't that controversial as there are many who are stuggling with Paul's teachings.

I believe it is a good time to start documenting our notes, for the community.

I'm sorry Rhy! I bother you so often! I can't figure out how to make a forum thread on android. The screen just says i have no threads, not a button to create a thread.

How can the Bible be so accurate so often??? ?

Just looking at the world around us, this verse is proof that the Bible is God inspired.

Thought for Today: Tuesday December 19

Yeshua is Hope --- Because every promise of YHVH is fulfilled in Him.
Yeshua is Joy --- Because in Him dwells all YHVH's fullness.
Yeshua is Love --- Because He gave Himself without reservation.
