Today's haftarah is Isaiah 40 where Isaiah mentions that Yahweh reduces rulers and nations to rubble. The west is in decline and the US is weaker than it has been in a very long time. This did not happen overnight. Yahweh often reduces nations to rubble over time. One election didn't cause this and one election cannot solve it. Our culture stopped fearing God and individuals have become entitled. We expect perfection but do not understand how to achieve success (as a society). For instance, we can't just "hire more pilots". We need children to look up to pilots and aspire to such a calling. We also need the support staff to want to work so the airports function. All this requires a culture that honors work and serving others, which is a #christian principle. This may seem nonsense to people who weren't raised in the faith, but a large part of the greatness of this country is due directly to a Christian culture that has largely ceased to exist. We are now realizing those consequences. We can turn this around if we turn back to #yahweh and His Son, and realize that mankind was made in their image. Part of that image is the power to create, to work, to build, and to serve. #shabbatshalom

We are a nation of slaves. We work for pharoah in exchange for just enough to survive on. We need to go back to being craftsmen and traders of our own wares. Local craftsmen. Where every township has a potter, a tanner, a weaver, etc. This global economy is dooming the whole world.

And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the rules that I am teaching you, and do them, that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that YHWH, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
Deuteronomy 4:1

There are two ways to be used by God: Disobey and be destroyed like Pharaoh and Balaam or obey and be fulfilled like Joshua. You can't truly fulfill your divine calling without obeying God's Law unless your calling is to be destroyed.

How much of the faith we share today has an origin in mistranslation or words added to the Bible by man or even accounts from sources other than the Bible? In the beginning God and He created us to live by His design are the basics, unfortunately mankind has added much to these basic tenets. Love God and love your neighbor have evolved into a broad spectrum of doctrine and tradition that have little to do with how or why we are created.

ALCOHOLISM

A healing prayer for freedom from alcoholism

References:
Ephesians 1:19 --- James 1:5 --- Proverbs 20:1 --- Galatians 5:1, 16 --- Ephesians 5:18 --- Romans 8:6 --- John 8:32 --- James 4:7 --- John 15:5 --- Philippians 4:13 --- Philippians 2:9-10 --- Romans 11:26 --- John 16:23

Healing Promise:
“Wine is a mocker; strong drink is a brawler and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.” (Proverbs 20:1)

Healing Prayer:
My heavenly Abba, in the Name of Yeshua Moshiach my Adonai, I confess my sins to You and I repent of my addiction to alcohol. Please forgive me for being led astray by it and falling prey to its power in my life. My Abba and my Elohiym, I acknowledge that I need Your power and Your wisdom to enable me to walk in freedom from alcoholism, which has brought such turmoil and misery to me and others. With Your help my mighty YHVH, I will walk in the Spirit, so that I will never again fulfil the lusts and addictions of my flesh. Fill me with Your Spirit now my Abba and release Your mighty power within me. Break the hold of alcohol addiction in my life forever. I know the power of Your Spirit is a key to victory over alcohol in my life. I want to be spiritual minded at all times Abba, because I know to be spiritually minded is life and peace for me, but to be carnally minded is death. My dear YHVH, I declare by faith my breakthrough in this area of my life and I commit myself to standing fast in the liberty wherewith Moshiach has made me free. With this in mind, I will never again permit myself to be entangled with the yoke of bondage to alcoholism. I will submit myself to Your truth, because I know Your truth will make me free. With Your help Abba, I will resist all of the enemy’s temptations and I know he will flee from me. Thank You my Adonai and my YHVH. I realize that without You I can do nothing, but through Moshiach I can do all things because He truly does strengthen me. I know I can walk free from alcohol because Yeshua is Adonai over every temptation and even the power of alcoholism must bow its knee to Him. Thank You Abba for surely setting me free and for keeping me safe from alcoholism through Moshiach who is my Deliverer. In Yeshua’ Name I pray, amen.
