Thought for Today: Monday October 24:
We must learn to live above our circumstances. This requires focus time with Elohiym, the One Who overcame the world. Trouble and distress are woven into the very fabric of this perishing world. Only Ruach HaKodesh’s Life in us can empower us to face this endless flow of problems with good cheer. As we sit quietly in YHVH’s Presence, He shines Peace into our trouble minds and hearts. Little by little, we are freed from earthly shackles and lifted up above our circumstances. We gain His Perspective on our lives, enabling us to distinguish between what is important and what is not. Thus, let us rest in His Presence, receiving Joy that no-one can take away from us.
You did cleave open the fountain and the flood, You did dry up mighty rivers. The day is Yours, the night is Yours too, You have established the light and the sun. You have set all the borders of the earth, You have made summer and winter. Remember this: the enemy has reproached יהוה, And a foolish people has despised Your Name. Do not give the being of Your turtledove to the wild beast! Do not forget the life of Your afflicted ones forever. Look to the covenant, For the dark places of the earth are filled With haunts of violence. Let not the crushed one return ashamed! Let the poor and needy praise Your Name. Arise, O Elohim, plead Your own cause, Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily. Do not forget the voice of Your enemies, The uproar of those rising up against You increases continually.
Tehillim (Psalms) 74:15-23 TS2009

Our Heavenly Father places a high priority on His people living at peace with one another. That’s why He inspired an entire psalm about brethren dwelling together in unity (Psalm 133), and why the gospels teach us to be reconciled with people who have something against us before presenting our gifts to God (Matthew 5:23-24). That alone is reason for followers of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) to take a look at our history and see where offenses have occurred that bring division among the people of God and dishonor to His holy Name.
The Shoa, or Holocaust, is perhaps the greatest cause of division and dishonor between Christians and Jews. That’s why it is a heavenly priority to remember it and do what we can to make things right. We can never replace the tremendous losses, but we can stand with the Jewish people and the nation of Israel in remembrance. Light Up the Church is one way....
