Daily Prayer
Blessed and Holy are You Adonai our YHVH, King of the universe, our Righteousness, our Elohiym Almighty and our YHVH Rohi. From You comes life, renewal and refreshment. In You we find hope, restoration and well-being. We believe in You, trust in You and love You deeply with all we have and all we are. We give thanks for all Your people throughout the world; for people who are growing in the faith and being made strong by their beliefs. We pray for all who are struggling with opposition and evil and all whose lives are in danger. We pray for all who feel oppressed and let down. We pray for all whose faith is being challenged and those who have lost contact with You. Adonai, we ask Your blessing on all Your children called by Your Name. We pray for all whose gifts are being wasted through poor education or through tyranny. We pray for all whose ambitions and livelihood have been destroyed through war, violence and crime. We pray and ask Your blessing upon all touched by natural disasters. We give You praise and thanks for all who care for us. We ask Your blessing upon our families and friends, all whom we love and all who love us. We pray for homes where there is serious illness and where loved ones are carers, we pray especially for all who are struggling to keep their homes together, all whose physical or financial resources are running out. We give thanks for all healers, for doctors and nurses, for social workers and carers. We pray for all who are strengthened by their faith and trust in You. We ask You to bless all whose sickness finds no cure. We pray for all the terminally ill and all who are in a hospice or need permanent care in a home. Adonai, we ask forgiveness for our sins and ask that You correct us in our ways through Your love and not through Your wrath. You are the giver of life and eternal life and we rejoice in Your presence and in Your love. We give thanks for the resurrection and we rejoice in the fellowship of all Your believers. We commend the whole world and ourselves to You unfailing love. We ask that You accept this prayer for the sake of Your Son Yeshua Moshiach, amen.
But the land that you are going over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water by the rain from heaven, a land that YHVH your God cares for. The eyes of YHVH your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
Deuteronomy 11:11-12
The Land of Israel is very special to God. He thinks about it, watches it, protects it. God's people and God's land are a unit. If the people are faithful to God, the land is good to them. If they are unfaithful, the land is against them.

It was a long wait. Some weeks are just longer than others. But no matter the ups and downs of the week, we are always happy to enter into His rest!
"There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience."
(Heb 4:9-11 NKJV)

Reordering Our Priorities
The northern tribes of Israel in Amos' time seemed like they were doing all the right things. They offered sacrifices to G-d and were exact in their religious observations. And yet, the book of Amos is written to them as a warning—a warning that destruction that would befall them if they refused to change?
Why?
Because they had neglected the true heart of loving and worshiping G-d.
While they were doing many of the "right" things, it's what they weren't doing that drew G-d's ire. They failed to take care of the poor and needy. They turned their eyes away from injustice. Many had turned to idols for help and prayer.
Through Amos, G-d told the people of Israel that it is just as important to be righteous inwardly as it is outwardly. We cannot say we love G-d and others when we fail to help people who are within our power to help.
Just as James 1:27 tells us, true religion includes helping orphans, widows, and those who are in distress. James goes on to write that faith without works is a dead faith (Ya’cov/James 2:26). In short, faith is both believing in the Master and doing the things He has told us to do.
Take some time to think about your own life: how much time do you prioritize on your own spirituality versus serving others?
What ways can you begin to take steps toward serving in your assembly, your neighborhood, or your school in order to help those in need. All of these are ways that our faith becomes complete in Messiah as we follow after Him.
