#korah and company sought to build a new government according to man's vision. God is not republican, democratic, or oligarchical. The votes of princes, delegates, and commoners mean nothing to Him. If God gives you what you want, it's because it suits His purposes, not because you deserve it or you know better. Between man's wisdom and God's, God will always win.

#korach was a Levite with a great calling from God, but it wasn't enough. Like Lucifer, he wanted more. His allies in rebellion were well-placed Reubenites, and their actions mirrored those of their ancestor, Reuben, who tried to usurp his father's place.
God's anointing is both blessing and burden. Don't seek it lightly.

Yesterday I harvested the first herbs from my garden!
There isn't a lot told to us about what we call "First Fruits" in Scripture. In Leviticus 23:9-14, we see the command for it. It is the first grain offering of the year. It also is used to know when to start counting for the feast of Shavuot.
Just like Shavuot, First Fruits will always fall on the first day of the week. It is specified that it is the day after the Sabbath. Some have taken this to mean any of the rest days that are given during the week of Unleavened Bread. However, those days aren't called Sabbaths Scripturally, until we get into the Gospels. The reason for that is by that time those rest days were traditionally called "High Sabbaths". So, if the only thing that was called a Sabbath during the time the command was given was the weekly Sabbath, then we know that First Fruits will always be on the first day of the week.
First Fruits is when we see Jesus/Yeshua rise from the grave. We even see Paul refer to Him as the first fruits in 1 Corinthians 15:23.
Prophetically, just like Shavuot, First Fruits is all about gathering in the harvest. Any prophecies that relate to God gathering His people could possible be during the time of First Fruits.
Our family's observance of this Feast is usually getting together with other believers and sharing a meal together.
