The first Holy Day we will look at is one that most "churchies" would be familiar with: Pentecost. In Greek, Pentecost just means 50. It is being used to describe the number of the day that they were on in the calendar cycle after First Fruits. However, Biblically, it was not called 50 or Pentecost, but Shavuot (Shav-uh-oht - not "shave" as in my attempt in humor in the comic title) or in English: Weeks. When God gives this Holy Day, while it is mentioned that there are 50 days to be counted off, the focus is on counting the weeks, hence the name. (Exodus 34:22, Leviticus 23:15-22, Deut. 16:9-16).
It is the middle of the Holy Days. The three before it are often called the Spring Feasts, and the three after the Fall Feasts. (At the time of this writing it is actually the closest Feast, happening this weekend.) There isn't a lot laid out to do for this Feast. It is the wheat harvest, so there is a grain offering of two loaves of bread, no work, and a gathering where God places His Name.
Events that have happened on this Feast include the Holy Spirit coming onto the apostles in the Upper Room and it is believed that this was also the time the Torah was given on Mt. Sinai.
While the Acts 2 account is one fulfillment of this Feast, there is another potential prophecy yet to be fulfilled that could be linked to it. In Isaiah 2 it is stated that in the last days that God's mountain (Mt. Sinai?) will be chief among mountains and many people will go up to it and ask to be taught His Ways, and His Torah will go out from Zion.
Our observance of this Holy Day will be gathering with other believers, usually at a park, have a meal of some kind, and enjoy the fellowship with each other.

Gevurah of Malchut
Examine the discipline of your sovereignty and leadership. Although sovereignty is loving, it needs to be balanced with discipline. Effective leadership is built on authority and discipline.
There is another factor in the discipline of sovereignty: determining the area in which you have jurisdiction and authority. Do I recognize when I am not an authority? Do I exercise authority in unwarranted situations? Am I aware of my limitations as well as my strengths? Do I respect the authority of others? Dignity also needs discipline. A dignified person needs to have a degree of reserve.
Exercise for the day: Before taking an authoritative position on any given issue, pause and reflect if you have the right and the ability to exercise authority in this situation.
