For people who know our Creator experiencing joy is more than just an emotion. Real joy is found in the contentment that only comes when we realize what He continues to do for us every day. Joy is far more than a happy-go-lucky feeling, it is the satisfaction of knowing that no matter what may happen, the Creator is involved. This is why Solomon was able to write Proverbs 17:22, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”
Thought for Today: Shabbat December 21:
Give YHVH your mind for rest and renewal today. Let Him infuse His presence into your thoughts. As your mind stops racing, your body relaxes and you will regain awareness of Him in your midst. This awareness is vital to your spiritual wellbeing; it is your lifeline, spiritual thinking.
