Proverbs 26:4 — 5, “Don’t give a foolish person a foolish answer. If you do, you will be just like him. But answer a foolish person as he should be answered, If you don’t, he will think he is really wise.” No one wants to be offensive, but at the same time it is foolish to allow someone’s foolishness to continue without correction. Take time to choose your words carefully, the way you say something is equally important as what you say.
Thought for Today: Shabbat May 10
Refuse to worry today! In this world there will always be something enticing you to worry… That is the nature of a fallen fractured world. Things are not as they should be. So, the temptation to be anxious is constantly with you, trying to worm its way into your mind. The best defence is continually communicating with YHVH Elohiym, richly seasoned with thanksgiving. Live close to YHVH, together you can keep the wolves of worry at bay.
When you consider the nature of sheep and goats and the differences you will see this in people also. Goats like to dominate and be at the head. This is why some pastors and leaders are referred to as goats. However Messiah told us to be servants. All men are equal, not one dominating over the others. Yeshua hates the doctrine of Nicolaitans. It is the goats that scatter the flock. I will leave a place immediately if I suspect the person is a tyrant.
Matthew 20:25-28 TLV
[25] But Yeshua called them over and said, “You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones play the tyrant over them. [26] It shall not be this way among you. But whoever wants to be great among you shall be your servant, [27] and whoever wants to be first among you shall be your slave— [28] just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Sometimes when you do good there are certain people who only see evil. Stay away from them because they have an evil eye. Even in Scripture when the land owner blessed his workers someone thought differently and criticized him. I've ran into people like this before and I will not associate with such people. Many times there is a critical spirit involved. People who are filled with the holy Spirit are not like this.
Jeremiah 23:1-2 TLV
[1] “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” It is a declaration of Adonai. [2] Therefore thus says Adonai, the God of Israel, about the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and have not taken care of them. I will soon visit on you the evil of your deeds.” It is a declaration of Adonai.

As Moishe left a board meeting at shul, he desperately gave himself a personal TSA pat down. He was looking for his keys. They were not in his pockets. A quick search in the meeting room revealed nothing. Suddenly he realized that he must have left them in the car. Frantically, he headed for the parking lot.
Moishe’s wife, Miriam, had scolded him many times for leaving the keys in the ignition. Moishe’s theory is that the ignition is the best place not to lose them. Miriam’s theory is that the car will be stolen. As Moishe burst through the doors of the shul, he came to a terrifying conclusion: Miriam’s theory was right. The parking lot was empty. He immediately called the police. He gave them his location, confessing that he had left the keys in the car and that it had been stolen.
Then Moishe made the most difficult call of all. "Honey," he stammered. He always calls her "honey" in times like these. "I left my keys in the car, and it has been stolen."
There was a period of silence. Moishe thought the call had been dropped, but then he heard Miriam’s voice. "Moishe!" she barked, "I dropped you off!"
Now it was his time to be silent. Embarrassed, he said, "Well, come and get me."
Miriam retorted, "I will, as soon as I convince this policeman I have not stolen your car!"
