Matthew 5:3 and Luke 6:20 say very similar things, but there are subtle differences in the wording. Luke says that the kingdom of God belongs to the poor, while Matthew says that the kingdom of Heaven belongs to the poor in spirit. I think the intent of both verses is exactly the same, and neither one of them has anything to do with how much money is in your bank account. It's not about your money. It's about your relationship with your money.

Cain set the tragic and prophetic tone for later firstborn sons in Scripture. Ishmael was passed over in favor of Isaac, Esau for Jacob, Reuben for Joseph, David's brothers for David, etc. Was #yeshua the only true-standing firstborn in all of Scripture?
Joseph had other sons, besides Ephraim and Manasseh, who were counted as Ephraimites and Manassites. They are unnamed and eclipsed in Scripture by their elder brothers. Those two tribes incorporated many who were not naturally the descendants of their namesakes. This is one more way in which God's entire plan seems to be embedded in the life of Joseph!

There are many opinions on what things are needed in the Messianic “movement” over the next few decades. I don’t think I’m an expert on this subject at all, but I do have some opinions as a mother and as a “teacher” at HomeschoolingTorah.
