God appoints leaders and talented people to help build his kingdom. Everyone has a role to play in God's kingdom, but some few are anointed and called out for special purposes. He rewards them for their efforts, but he also expects them to give back generously. Your skills are God's investment in you. He expects a return. Exodus 35
Here's a question almost everyone asks eventually: What's my purpose in God's Kingdom? I'll try to help you with that at the link. Remember that not everyone is called to give everything to dedicated ministry. People need to work for a living, contributing to the kingdom in other ways. The key for all people is to do everything as if for God. Because it is.

The Mishkan (aka Tabernacle) is an image of different things when viewed from different metaphorical angles: God, man, family, nation, and probably others.
The 3 layers of the Mishkan/Tabernacle coverings were each made of a different material: Goat hair, red ram skins, & takhash. Why those materials in particular? That's mostly unknown today, although many people have given it a lot of thought. Here's one idea: The layers progressed from refined to crude as you move outwork, but rare to common as you move inward. Value, glory, etc., are matters of perspective.
