If anybody knows of natural pain killers I would love to learn. I hate to use ibuprofen etc.

This week I had acute back pain. Immediatley prayed but the pain was terrible. Could hardly move yesterday, today a bit better, praise Yah!

Because the pain was so severe I did use quite a few painkillers. But if there is something natural, I'd rather use that.

Does anybody have knowledge on using pine needles in tea and such?

I have just learned that it is very beneficial. But got a bit scared when I read some are bad for you.

I have no knowledge of which pines grow here (Netherlands), let alone which to use and not to use or how to distinguish between both. Could use a little help on that.

I was thinking to get some from the christmastrees that will be thrown out in the next few weeks, which will lay around all over the city. But then I read they are often sprayed with chemicals and thereby unusable. Bummer.

I have used diatomaceous earth succesfully to rid my cat and guinea pigs from fleas. Just rub it in their fur a bit.

The fleas walk over the DE which harms their exterior skeleton and they eventually dehydrate because if it and die.

This works with all animals with an exterior skeleton, like ants, mites, spiders, roaches, etc. So you can use it for many things and don't need to buy chemicals.

I bought a large bucket for 20 euros ex shipping from a chicken supply vendor. It is used in chicken coops againt mites I heard.

You can also buy foodgrade DE. It is said to be good for numerous things like arthritis and such. But also many many more. Just google diatomaceous earth testimonials to learn about them. I personally do not have experience with it in that regard.

But I do believe this is one of those cheap things "they" don't want the people to know about because it is not good for big pharma's pockets.

What are your thoughts for those of you in the US, is it right to take off of work as the government demands for this federal pagan holiday? Because the company I work for is on many government contracts, we are to take off to day for Christmas. Any thoughts? One thing is for sure, we will be in time for shabbat.

It's update and backup day. One of my kids still has a phone with a fingerprint home button. Boy do I miss that home button.
