Poem for today: --- Plant A Garden God’s Way
Plant three rows of peas:
Peace of mind
Peace of heart
Peace of soul
Plant four rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash grumbling
Squash selfishness
Plant four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be obedient
Lettuce really love one another
No garden without turnips:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for service
Turnip to help one another
Water freely with patience and
Cultivate with love.
There is much fruit in your garden
Because you reap what you sow.
To conclude our garden
We must have thyme:
Thyme for God
Thyme for study
Thyme for prayer
Praying Psalm 33
Let the godly sing for joy to You Adonai; it is fitting for the pure to praise You. Let the entire world praise our Adonai, with melodies on the lyre; let us make music for Him on the ten-stringed harp. Let us all sing a new song of praise to Him; Let us play skilfully on the harp and sing with joy. For the Word of our King holds true and we can trust everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of YAHVEH ELOHEINU fills the earth. Our Adonai merely spoke and the heavens were created. You Adonai, breathed the Word and all the stars were born. You assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear our Elohim and let everyone stand in awe of Him. For when You Adonai spoke, the world began! It appeared at Your Command. You frustrates the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But Your plans stand firm forever; Your intentions can never be shaken. What joy for the nation whose YAHVEH You are, those people You have chosen as Your inheritance. You look down from heaven and see the whole human race. From Your throne You observe all who live on the earth. You made their hearts, so You understand everything we do. The best-equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior. Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory; for all its strength, it cannot save you. But our Adonai watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keep them alive in times of famine. Let us put our hope in our Elohim. He is our Help and our Shield. In You, our hearts rejoice, for we trust in Your holy Name. Let Your unfailing love surround us Adonai, for our hope is in You alone, amein.
If you do what you need to do, you will end up where you need to end up!!

I was copying Scripture this morning and I realized just how many "therefores" are in the book of Colossians. I counted 5 just in chapters 2-3. Therefore connects thoughts almost like an if-then statement. When I was a kid, I was taught that when you see a therefore, you need to ask what it is there for. This usually means you need to back up a few paragraphs. Always read Scripture in context!!
