Proverbs 16:28, “An evil person causes trouble. And a person who gossips ruins friendships.” Spreading rumors and half truths will create trouble and drama. There is an easy way to avoid this and that is to not be involved with it. You may not have a choice other than to hear what is said but you don’t need to add fuel to their by repeating gossip.

All of God's appointed times are profound illustrations of his plan of redemption over the millennia. The Sabbath, the Spring feasts, and the Fall feasts are pictures of how God wants to relate to us as well as prophetic of how his plan will play out in history. Every one of them look both forward and backward at God's interventions in history.

Leviticus 23:29-31 ESV
No manner of work is allowed on #yomkippur. Native and grafted-in alike are to rest, pray, and afflict their souls. Whoever does work or doesn't afflict his soul on Yom Kippur must be cut off from the people, and there is no expiration date on this command.
