I had overlooked Mark 16:1. After studying and pondering & counting, I believe the verse is speaking of the weekly sabbath. (See below). If Yeshua had been crucified on wed, He would have spent 4 nights in the tomb. Scripture is clear: 3 days and 3 nights. The women must have gone to the market after sunsset on the weekly sabbath to get & prepare the spices. The markets were probably quite busy after having been closed for sabbath. I maintain Yeshua was crucified on Thur, the majority of Israel observed the first of unleavened bread fri. The weekly sabbath was sat and the tomb was opened the first day of the week, just before sunrise. This makes thur, fri sat night (3) and thur before sunset, fri, sat days (3).

One thing to note about Strong's concordance is that I've read it has been changed. Edited to line up with certain beliefs. It can be very useful. But it's good to double check words with something like a Brown Driver Briggs lexicon. There are a number of good lexicons out there. Takes a little work learning how to use one, but it's worth it.

Shabbat Shalom Everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone an update on what's been going on with me. It's been awhile since I've been on the site. Early this month my father passed away from a heart attack. It was sudden and unexpected and I rushed up to Alaska to be with my Mom and siblings.

On March 14th we laid my father to rest. We had the comfort of his brother and sisters, and my moms brother and sisters as well as many aircraft mechanics who worked with dad on the airport.

It was rather surreal to be honest, I never thought that I would be helping to organize a funeral. But throughout it all was a peace that was difficult to explain.

I’m going to miss dad a lot. And it pains me to think of mom and my two little siblings getting along with him. But we have not gone into despair. We have been resting in the love of our God. I honestly can’t imagine what people must go through who don’t have the hope of resurrection.
