“There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”
Luke 17:35-37
The context indicates that the disciples were asking, "To where will these people be taken?"
"Where the corpse is..." in Yeshua's reply means that the you can find the ones who were taken by looking for signs of death.
The clear implication of reading this conversation with no eschatological assumptions is that you wouldn't want to be the one taken.
"One will be taken and the other left."
Sleeping, grinding grain, and working in the fields in Luke 17:34-37 are meant as examples of everyday activities. The point is that they will be going about life as if everything will always continue as it is today, but their lives will be interrupted suddenly because they ignored the warnings.
Remember Lot's wife. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.
Luke 17:32-33
The life that one seeks to save is the life that we lived without Messiah, like Lot's wife's former life in Sodom. Those who seek to save something of their life before they died to sin will lose the new life into which they have been born again.
Lot's wife was rescued from Sodom only to lose the new life she had been given because she was unwilling to give up what she had left behind.
Be cautious with people who talk too much.
