Leviticus 23:23—24, “The LORD also said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred assembly announced by trumpet blasts.” What makes this feast different is that is happens on a day when no one knew exactly what day it will be. The first day of the new month during the time of Moses needed to be verified by at least two witnesses who observed the new moon. They needed to be carefully watching the waning moon to be able to identify the first sliver of the new moon.

Lily Portion for Today: Friday January 26

Healing Power???

Reading Luke 8:46 But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, because I was aware that power had gone out of Me.”

And in Luke 9:1 Now Jesus called together the twelve [disciples] and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.

The Greek word for "power" in these verses is "dunamis". So healing someone brought on a sensation that power has moved. This might not have happened at all times as Yeshua did heal people without actually going to them, but we are never told whether He still experienced the power leaving him.

This raised a few questions:
1. Was that same power transfered with the laying on of hands by Yeshua?
2. Was it only His disciples that received the power to heal?
3. Why don't we still see that power moving today?

1: Yes, it is the power of Yahuah given to Yahshua. Yahshua believes as we ought to which would answer number 3. If we had the belief of a mustard seed we could tell mountains to jump into the ocean. Think about that. Wow. The taught ones were given authority because of their belief in Yahuah. Some healings required them to also fast. Yahshua mentions belief when He’s talking to the foreign people about why they were healed. I guess I answered number 2, because all who have great belief as in to move mountains, in Yahuah can heal. We do all have our gifts. I am not a healer. I’m a teacher. It’s my job to put my foot down and say what needs to be said straight from the Word. I am here to offend you into doing what is right or falling away. You’ll either get on Yahuah’s boat or choose to continue to drown in sin. Some will jump off the boat when things get rough. Don’t be that jumper! Praise Yahuah! HalleluYah

How do we determine the dates and what is the importance regarding Torah

Is it out of fear of getting something wrong?

Missing the great day?

Breaking Torah by getting the dates wrong?

Not fitting in?

Believing that you are being obedient?

Is it out of haughtiness, wanting to be right all the time and believing that you have a greater understanding than others?

Does it provide safety?

I feel like they witness of Yeshua, and doing these things shows our love for Him. Many people see what we do and at least have to consider what we do as being peculiar 🙂.
