As far as the translator is aware, every name is now spelled with the aim of accurately reflecting the correct, historical pronunciations of these historical names according to modern phonetic English-alphabet transcription, e.g. ‘y’ not ‘j’ for the sound at the start of ‘yellow’, ‘w’ not ‘v’ for the sound at the start of ‘water’. The transcriptions in the LLV are aimed to be better than those of any English translation of Scripture made so far, because they consider not only the pointings of the medieval Hebrew texts but also the older transcriptions in Greek and Latin letters.

We're supposed to help our brothers and sisters and neighbors, and Yeshua gave us some good teaching about who our neighbors and brethren are. We're also supposed to help the poor, the sick, and the suffering. But what do we do if those in need of help don't want to make any effort toward getting the relief, healing, or whatever else they need? Are we still obligated to help? Praise Yah! Although the hvac system is broken again, the weather is cool and a kind, unpaid hvac pro told me over the phone how to force stop the fan from running continually. Our maintenance guy is probable halfway across the state today because he hasnt called me back. Tomorrow is supposed to be even cooler, so its not a huge crisis now that the fan isnt blowing for no good reason. Weve lived here ten years. Almost every year the hvac breaks. The last time it was fixed, was with cheap parts, which made running it more expensive. Ive been after the landlord to replace it for two or three years now. Hopefully they have to now because this thing is an inefficient dinosaur. I think its as old as the building (1975). Praise Yah for His perfect timing and good hearted people!
