Thanks. Is there any way to get the original to see whether the "of our" in verse 31 was added during the English translation so that it would fit in with the Trinity?

Banning of "Yeshayahu Hadad"

Yes, I have over the past 22 months deleted many spam accounts, but I have always hoped not to reach a point where I have to ban a member for their attitude towards others.

I have tried to reason with Yeshayahu about his attitude towards others, spamming our Posts and his lack of showing the fruit of the Spirit in his conversations. My last chat message was not answered where I asked for hard answers and many Post replies are that he has said what he said and to take it or leave it; but then goes on to call other sinners.

It is my duty to protect the community as not everyone is on the same spiritual level to discern people's motivations. There will be wolves in sheep clothing as we are warned in Matthew 7:22-23:

"Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"

I believe the fruit of a person shows their heart; both for good and for bad.

You will know by now that I do not believe in Bible-roulette where you flip open the Bible and whatever verse you land on is your message for the day. I read the Bible systematically and do find that Father give me something to focus on each day.

This morning during my prayer, I was struggling with how to further speak with Yeshayahu and then 2 Cor 11:12- 15 was part of my reading.

Please contact me directly if you believe strongly that my actions are too severe in banning him so that we can further discuss it.

Thank you! I think you did the right thing. Fruit of the Spirit was my point last night, as you probably saw. Maybe he will humble himself after some study alone and come back with a clean heart someday.

I don't think it was too strong and needed to be done. In the instances I engaged with him it was to point out (to hopefully others, because from experience I know the OP won't listen) that what he was saying wasn't in line with Scripture.

Sadly, many of these that do this sort of thing won't answer direct questions, give answers to Scripture that directly contradict what they are saying, etc... We have at least one other that acts similarly here. Hopefully, they'll change their ways.

I had concerns about some of his posts. The one that I distinctly remember is his idea that playing sports was not Biblical. He didn't provide evidence, yet insisted that sports was not okay.

Amnesty.org.uk defines "Free speech" as:

"Freedom of speech is the right to say whatever you like about whatever you like, whenever you like, right? Wrong.

'Freedom of speech is the right to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, by any means.'

Freedom of speech and the right to freedom of expression applies to ideas of all kinds including those that may be deeply offensive. But it comes with responsibilities and we believe it can be legitimately restricted."

How would you define "free speech" in the Bible if you have to draw examples from Scripture?

A quick thought I just had is profaneness. Proverbs and many other places say not to speak with vulgar language. I had to exhaust all instances a few months ago to get my 18 year old to stop swearing constantly.

Numbers 30 talks about the differences in mens and womens vows. Also, we are not to vow loosely by taking the Name "in vain".

Proverbs 28:13, “Whoever hides his transgressions will not succeed, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.” While it is not possible to hide from our Creator, some attempt to conceal their sinful actions. Sin is impossible to hide, Adam and Eve couldn’t hide from their sin and we are no different. Because sin will always be found out, the only way to defeat it is through confession and repentance.

I have just finished a five-week study with my group about the elementary teachings.
Let us read: Heb 6 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so.

Next Matt 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
v20 and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you

When I first approached these subjects, I based the foundation on these two passages, fundamentally.

Yeshua tells us to 'Make', disciples and to not generate converts.

In Hebrews 6, we are given a clue into what should be attained and understood as a believer. Discipleship must include these teachings and it is incumbent on all of us to teach these elementary principles to those who are being established.

These elementary teachings are foundational to every disciple, but how many are taught them and how many can teach them?
The challenge is: Can you?

The early church had to have a good grasp of them. Laying this foundation helps us to move on to maturity.

it is one thing to debate the aspects of the law and the observances but it is another to obey the teachings of Yeshua and to live in the freedom which His commands bring.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners

Perhaps the lack of this foundation illuminates what will be the destabilising factor in the faith community and which will in some part explain the turning away of many from the Word.

Is our foundation built upon the sand or the Rock?
The journey of the Hebrews in their exodus took forty years and they walked predominantly upon the sands of the wilderness. They could base their future upon what they walked upon (the sand) or on what they could rest upon (the Rock). Both were with them throughout.

The law of YHVH's covenant would bring freedom to them but only when they understood its foundation and the true freedom it is meant to give.
