Rhy Bezuidenhout, there are times when I see posts that I'd really like to be able to save. Is there some way to save posts and be able to go back and find them easily?

I haven't been here a lot because we've had a rather overwhelming situation in our home. That overwhelming situation just moved out and I've been left with the overwhelming residue I have to clean up.

We've also both had to work a lot of things out in terms of medical appointments and just getting things taken care of. But that is slowly getting resolved.

On top of all that I've just been spending a lot more time in studying and praying. So, I do see some light at the end of the tunnel. I do see things winding down at least a little bit and I hope to be able to spend a little more time here.

I'm running low on these four fabrics and they will not be replaced this season! If you've been looking at them, now's the time to get them before they're gone! ?❤?❤

I had a thicker version I used as a cradle for stuff when I went out camping. Depending what you put in there, you could have lots. I suggest no poky things.

How long should we suffer a person?

Reading 2 Tim 2:14, 23-24 this morning made me think:

"14 Remind the people of these facts, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God to avoid petty controversy over words, which does no good, and ruins those who listen."

"23 But have nothing to do with foolish and ignorant speculations, since you know that they produce strife and give birth to quarrels. 24 The servant of the Lord must not participate in quarrels, but must be kind to everyone, skilled in teaching, patient and tolerant when wronged."

It is imperative that we show the fruit of the Spirit within us in all aspects of life as it shows our maturity. But that mean that we have to suffer a person indefinitely?

How long should we impress on someone that they need to change before walking away and dusting our sandals off, so to speak?

Do you have a measure that you personally use and would like to share; like the number of occurrences you spoke with the person on the matter or the person's general teachability or their age or the level of sin caused by their view, etc.?

Scripture says to speak to the offender in private. Then if he does not listen, take a witness or two, then if that doesnt work , the whole congregation. If all that fails, he is to be shunned.

I think how long should probably be based a lot on how long you would want somebody to be patient with you if the situation was reversed. Are we willing to give sacrificially in the situation, knowing that Father sees it and knows what's going on? A lot might also depend on whether there's actual harm taking place. If there's harm taking place, then I would say you probably have to deal with it quickly. If it's just an annoyance, can we be patient?

Proverbs 17:15, “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” This may be where the saying “Don’t condemn in others what you condone in your own,” began. Too often we hear someone try to justify a crime because of a past occurrence or denounce a good person’s action with gossip. What is determined as good or evil has been established by our Creator and mankind does not have the authority to change His word.
