So Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt, and it stands to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth; the land of the priests alone did not become Pharaoh's.
Genesis 47:26

The people of Egypt were taxed by Pharaoh based on his asserted prior ownership of them. This is the same reason that the priests were not taxed. The priests belonged to their respective deities, who were supposed to be peers of Pharaoh.

Have you ever read something Paul wrote and thought it was simply out of place? Did you think Paul wrote against the #torah? Well, what if he was just communicating in a way that we don't understand?

a biblical look at The Art Of War. The Art of War is a systematic guide to strategy and tactics for rulers and commanders. The book discusses various maneuvers and the effect of terrain on the outcome of battles. It stresses the importance of accurate information about the enemy’s forces, dispositions and deployments, and movements. This is summarized in the axiom “Know the enemy and know yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of defeat.” It also emphasizes the unpredictability of battle and the use of flexible strategies and tactics. The book’s insistence on the close relationship between political considerations and military policy greatly influenced some modern strategists. Mao Zedong and the Chinese communists took from The Art of War many of the tactics they utilized in fighting the Japanese and, later, the Chinese Nationalists.

Now let us take those military principals of Sun-Tzu and apply it to the greatest opponent you will ever encounter...the devil. http://www.bethgoyim.org/video....%20TRC/MTT/ART%20OF%

I can concur, The Art Of War is a great book with so many strategic points to learn. It is more of a study guide than a quick read.

I look forward to see how you have present it. Thanks

The first 30 minutes of Shapiro today is outstanding and lines up with what many of us have been preaching. One note here is the connection with conspiracy theories and the rejection of God.

Disabled FB accounts years ago. Accidentally reactivated one 6 years ago. Lately, someone has been trying to hack into it, so I reactivated it to see if I could delete it. Instantly appalling content on my feed! Now I cant disable or delete the account, so because FB announced I was back online, Im probably going to have even more headache than my account getting hacked. If I wouldve been allowed to delete those accounts years ago, everything would be fine. Grr! The Internet upsets me so much sometimes! Rant over. Thank you, Rhy, for creating this safe space!

Legally they have to give you a way to delete your account. Have you looked at your account settings as I know that it is hidden quite deep so that people find it difficult to get to it?

O! Bless you Rhy! I don't know where you got that link, but the instructions were different than the loop I kept going through. Account deleted successfully! Thank you!

As for the people, he made servants of them from one end of Egypt to the other.
Genesis 47:21

The Egyptians weren't enslaved by Joseph but by their own ignorance and lack of faith. They could have set aside much for themselves during the seven years of plenty if they had truly believed God's message to Pharaoh, but instead they relied solely on Pharaoh and Joseph to take care of the future.

If you treat the government like it is your master, it will happily oblige you.

And Pharaoh said to Jacob, “How many are the days of the years of your life?”
#genesis 47:8 #vayigash

Jacob probably looked older than he was. Pharaoh asked him "How many are the days of the years of your life." as if to say "What stories you must have to tell!"

"Few and evil have been my years," He replied. Jacob wasn't bragging or complaining. Just being humble as if to say "Whatever I have accomplished is trivial compared to what my fathers did and none of it by my own power."
