I forgot to add the Psalms/Proverbs reference to read last week. I've updated that comic if you would like to grab it, too.

Psalm 141:5, “Let the righteous man strike me; let his rebuke be an act of loving devotion. It is oil for my head; let me not refuse it. For my prayer is ever against the deeds of the wicked.” David is not asking for a righteous person to literally hit him. He is asking that the righteous hold him accountable for his actions.
We have sold our home and are now living full time in our camper with our dogs. We are seeking to find an area where we can live as part of (or close to) a Torah based community.
I have years of honesteading skills and my husband is an excellent woodworker. We are also musicians and would enjoy participating with a worship team. We are in our 60s and hoping to find a place with mild winters and a longer growing season. We are also love the tiny house mindset. Any suggestions or leads?
No sea and no moon?
Rev 21 talks about the new earth and verse 1 says there will no longer exist any sea. OK, that is clear, no large open body of salt water. Check.
Then I hear people teaching that there won't be a moon either. I believe there might be some confusion between what happens in new Jerusalem and the new earth.
Rev 21:23-24 says: "And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and the Lamb is its lamp and light. 24 The nations [the redeemed people from the earth] will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring into it their glory."
There is no need for a sun or moon in the new Jerusalem. OK, but does that say there does not exist a sun or moon to give light and signs to the rest of the earth?
Rev 22:2 talk about the new Jerusalem and says: "On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
12 kinds of fruit in its month. So there are 12 months, but how is a month determined if there is no moon?
So my thinking is, the new Jerusalem is lit by Father and Yeshua's glory as the city has jasmin walls and is made of pure transparent gold. But and this is a big BUT, there still is a sun and moon overhead to determine months and to give light to the rest of the earth.
(To take it a bit further, the promise is that every person will be able to grow his own vinyard in peace and enjoy the fruit thereof, and the nations will come to Jerusalem for the appointed times. Each person has a place to stay in the new Jerusalem, but it doesn't mean we'll be staying there forever. This is a subject for another post though...)
Is my thinking correct about the moon and what are your beliefs on this?
