If the adulterous woman in #proverbs 7 wanted to control her behavior, there are all kinds of measures she could take to guard herself. Visual barriers, schedules, wardrobe, friends to keep and others to avoid, personal policies such as never being alone with a man who isn't her husband, etc.

Her husband could have helped too by not leaving her alone for weeks at a time, not putting business before family, monitoring household finances, and especially by being a friend to his wife, knowing her character and ensuring she has the tools and companionship she needs when he can't be there.
