Some people stress that we must believe the Devil is real and is our dangerous enemy; they say that in order to fight well we must recognise the enemy.
And sometimes they think to stress this point by saying that evil people are not our enemy - this is the opposite of recognising the enemy: Christ said to evil men, “ye are of your father the Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do" Jn 8. Evil men are absolutely our enemy, doing the lusts of the Devil on the earth.

If we do not recognise this enemy, then we do not recognise our enemy the Devil, or any enemy.

"Beware of men" Mt 10

Some might object that we shouldn't see some group of people as our enemy, but this of course does not come from Scripture. Rather, we must group people by morality, and this must trump any other grouping. Grouping by morality must trump grouping by skin colour, for example: if a person is good, we must be friends, regardless of skin colour: if a person is evil, he must be our enemy, regardless of skin colour.

Thought for Today: Sunday September 10:

Our Adonai have made the story of my life. In thousand ways, He have turned my limitations into beautiful prviledges and enabled me to walk serene and happy.

Developing Healthy Friendships

Abba, help me to meet new friends -- friends who will encourage me. May I find in these friendships the companionship and fellowship You have ordained for me. I know that You are my Source of Love, companionship and friendship. Your love and friendship are expressed through my relationship with You and believers of the Body of Moshiach. According to Proverbs 27:17, as iron sharpens iron, so friends sharpen the minds of each other. As we learn from each other, we may find a worthy purpose for our relationship. Keep me well balanced in my friendships, so that I will always please You, rather than please other people. I ask for divine connections -- good friendships ordained by You. Thank you for the courage and grace to let go of detrimental friendships. I ask and receive by faith, discernment for developing healthy relationships. Your word says that two are better than one, because if one falls, there will be someone to lift that person up. Abba, You know the hearts of people, so I won’t be deceived by outward appearances. Bad friendships corrupt good morals. Thank You for quality friends who helped me build a stronger character and draw me closer to You. Help me be a friend to others and to love my friends at all times. I will laugh with those who laugh, I will rejoice with those who rejoice, I will weep with those who weep. Teach me what I need to know to be a quality friend. Develop in me a fun personality and a good sense of humour. Help me to relax around people and to be myself -- the person You created me to be. Instruct my heart and mould my character that I may be faithful and trustworthy over the friendships You are sending into my life. Abba Your Son Yeshua Moshiach is my best Friend. He is a Friend who always are closer than a brother. He defined the standards when He said in John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, then a man lay down his life for his friends.” Thank You Abba, that I can entrust myself and my need for friends into Your keeping. I submit to the leadership of Your Ruach Kodesh in the Name of Yeshua. Amein.
