Most people measure success with money, Many churches measure success by the number of members they have. How does our Creator measure the success of mankind? 1 Samuel 15:22, “But Samuel declared: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obedience to His voice? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and attentiveness is better than the fat of rams.”
Thought for Today: Shabbat October 29:
I was born and I grew up in South Africa, far from any ocean or sea. My idea of the sea was so small that the first time I saw it, I could not comprehend how any lake could be so big. The vastness of any ocean cannot be understood until it is seen. This is the same with YHVH’s Love. It passes all wisdom and knowledge. Until you actually experience it, no-one can describe it’s wonders to you… No matter what comes your way; no matter how tempted you are to give in to despair; never forget – YHVH’s Love for you can never be exhausted, for His Love is beyond measure.
7In the same way, husbands, live understandingly together, giving respect to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the favour of life, so that your prayers are not hindered.
8To sum up, let all of you be like-minded, sympathetic, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, humble-minded,
9not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, in order to inherit a blessing.
