Can you explain what makes The Torah Network The Torah Network. What is for you the different way.then other networks?

Shalom Ab Groothedde One value of TTN is that most or all of us are already Torah observant, so we need not spend a great deal of time on 'outreach'. Rather, we can build and connect the family, particularly internationally. Also, as you see in the groups, we can focus on regional connectivity, building clan (commynity) and economy! I'm excited to see the Netherlands represented and hope you will bring more mishpocha if Zebulun onto the platform. Do you know Wiljo Beerens

Good question, Ab Groothedde! I think this platform gives me a place to feel like I can take a break from the incessant noise of the world's clanging about "The sky is falling!!" I try to commit as much of myself as I can each day to intervening in the world around me, whatever way I can, but I really need a place where I can "sit down" with other Torah observant believers and find encouragement and peace and replenishment of my soul.

There are thoughts and studies that are posted here which do sometimes feel challenging, but not draining. I can get advice and guidance from my brothers and sisters without having to sift through 800 rhetorical replies and comments on a matter. Most importantly for me, this platform is a place where we can all make the effort to walk the way that we were instructed to do without being tripped up and pulled down by the raging seas of unbelievers.

For me it is important that we learn to read and do the Bible again and especially from the beginning, so that the Word of Adonai can change me and I can become what He intended me to be.

Do you recognize yourself in that?

The Hebrew paragraph divisions:

6:13-8:14 {s} …
8:15-9:7 {s} …

The Hebrew paragraph divisions show us that God considers the text beginning in Gen 6:13 and ending in today’s reading at Gen 8:14, a single paragraph expressing a single topic. If we map the Chiastic Structure of this paragraph, it reveals the elements leading up to and away from the central point, which may help us find our topic (see the chiastic structure at https://alittleperspective.com..../wp-content/uploads/

We see from the structure, that God destroyed all living things from the earth, but He remembered Noah and all with him in the ark. I propose our topic to be:

6:13-8:14 {s} The righteous are preserved through the judgment of the wicked

But let’s note the central axis, that God gave Noah commands to follow so that he might be preserved, and Noah did all that God commanded him to do, and was preserved. God established His covenant with Noah (A1.2), and in the execution of that covenant, He remembered Noah and did not forget him (2A.2). He not only preserved him through the judgment, but cared for him afterward as well. If you are walking in covenant with God today, He will not forget you but remember you! ♥
