Jerry Mitchell    Give God 90

Numbers 13; 31, “ But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.” Caleb tried to excite the people to into the land, but the others were afraid and convinced the people they would die if they went into the land. The way in which the spies gave their report kept the mixed multitude in the wilderness for 40 years. Had the people listened to Caleb and Joshua, the world may be a very different place today. What is keeping you in your own personal wilderness? What is it that prevents you from having everything the Creator wants to give you? Don’t allow fear to overwhelm your faith, we should be as brave as Caleb, as wise as Solomon and joyful as David. Please listen to tonight’s podcast, The Spies Report, 7:30 Eastern time where ever you find your quality podcasts.

The Hebrew paragraph divisions:

Gen 4:1-26 {s} Exile from family is the consequence of sin

One of the most common questions Bible readers have, is Where did Cain get his wife? The biblical answer is, she was a descendant of Adam and Eve, just as he was – a sister or niece. Abraham married his half-sister Sarah; Isaac married a cousin; as well as Jacob.

Intermarriage was not prohibited until the generation of Moses (Lev 18). By then, genetic mutations were more likely to be expressed by the offspring of close relations.

How many have read or seen a reference to the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages of history in books or documentaries?

The three-age system of archaeology divides human technological prehistory into three periods: the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, and the Iron Age. The Stone Age refers to tools made of stone or bone, a period lasting 3.4 million years, and ended between 8700 BC and 2000 BC with the advent of metalworking. The Bronze Age is characterized by the use of bronze, proto-writing, and other early features of urban civilization. The Iron Age refers to a period of time in the prehistory and protohistory of the Old World when the dominant toolmaking material was iron. It is commonly preceded by the Bronze Age in Europe and Asia and the Stone Age in Africa, with exceptions. Ancient iron production did not become widespread until the ability to smelt iron ore, and remove impurities were developed. The start of the Iron Age proper is considered by many to fall between around 1200 BC and 600 BC, depending on the region.

Edited from Infogalactic.com.

But today we learn that the first urban civilization was built by Cain, which he named Enoch after his son. He could no longer till the ground for food, so his city was the first commercial center where food producers could trade their food for wares. Urban civilization and tool forging in metals – both of bronze and iron – grew up together.

And Zillah, she also bore Tubal-cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of brass and iron; and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. Gen 4:22

Brass is a copper alloy, just as bronze is. What the translators of the Hebrew in previous generations translated brass, is today translated bronze – the exact same Hebrew word. The accurate eyewitness history recorded in Genesis corrects the faulty history proposed by modern man, who rejected Genesis, not from evidence, but from an aversion to give credence to God.

As an Israelite covenanted with YHVH we have agreed to live our lives in accordance with His Commandments, Statutes and Ordinances. Elohim’s Miztvot (commandments) are our way as it is His Way.

When you are born anew in Yeshua, the Spirit gives you the desire to obey; the Spirit reminds you and helps you to keep the Word. If you break even the slightest of His Commandments, even a jot or tittle, it hurts you to your core! The more you obey the closer you unite with the Master. The Spirit escalates your sensitivity to the Will of the Father.

Our Father gave us His Word to be obeyed. Not to forget about it! Judgement is carried out not just by what you claim to believe, but what you do! Our obedience to Torah is the “fruit” of salvation, not the means! James the brother of our Lord told us “And become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. “
