So much prophecy in one verse. Three is the number of resurrection. Joseph's statement to his brothers echoes #Yeshua's statement to Nicodemus in John 3:3...

*Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”*

And James' statement to the descendants of those twelve brothers in James 2:17...

*So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.*

Nowhere in the books of Maccabees will you find any evidence of the supposed miracle of oil that brought about the 8th Day celebration of Hanukkah you see this holiday is based off of lies just like Christmas. The dreidel game is an attempt by the evil one to teach our children to gamble which relates to the god of luck. We will be posting two chapters each day for the eight days of Chanukkah, and if you read them, you will get a better understanding of Chanukkah, and hopefully, you will see how those men and women who stood up against the Greeks actually did so to preserve the Torah and the observation of the commandments of YHWH. Others will try to distract you from the truth, because there will be many false teachers and those who claim opinion as fact. They will steer you away from remembering the wonders of YHWH and the Torah. Just as Antiochus Epiphanes, the Greek ruler of the time, they want you to forget YHWH. As long as we live and breathe on this planet, may we NEVER forget that the world hates YHWH and those who love Him. Yeshua said, “They hate you because they hated me first.” The usurper prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour, and he will not stop until he is destroyed. Is anyone really good with Greek that would be able to tell me the difference between "fulfill" in Matthew 5:17 and Galatians 6:2 ? -- and to clarify, I have looked at a concordance. Beside the spelling of the words, I do not understand the difference.

Looking for ways to experience Hannukah spiritually besides just reading in the book of Macaabees. Anyone got any studies they use?

The only historic accounts we have are in the Maccabees and in Josephus. That being said, search through these sources for the many miracles that can be found in them. When Mattathias was leaving after killing the kings officer and the Jew who was going to sacrifice the pig, he didn't say if you want freedom or if you want to defeat the Greeks. He said if you really have a love for the law and the covenant come wit me. He wanted people who were as loyal to the sacred word of יהוה as he was trying to be. Judas followed suit, his prayer for the army to become cowardice was answered because he was as faithful as possible in those circumstances. Finding the many miracles in those lessons should help you find the spiritual connections you may be searching for.

Joseph's brothers were buried in prison and resurrected on the third day.

Hmm. I seem to recall something about Joseph being buried in prison and then a resurrection after three days...and Yeshua being buried and then resurrected on the third day. Patterns upon patterns.

Part 17 --- BUT DELIVER US --- Salvation

Here we must know that we have protection. You cannot pray effectively unless you know you are protected from evil. Because we are protected, no curse can touch us. No evil shall befall thee. In another portion of scripture we read, “And I will build My Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” In other words, we can absolutely defeat the purpose of the enemy because we have protection. Psalm 119:117 declares, “Sustain me, that I might be saved, and always look to Your Laws” 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “No trial has overtaken you except such as is common to man and Elohim is trustworthy, Who shall not allow you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with trial shall also make the way of escape, enabling you to bear it.” In 2 Peter 2:9, “then YHVH knows how to rescue the reverent ones from trial and to keep the unrighteous unto the day of judgement, to be punished.” Psalm 94:18 declares, “When I said, My foot has slipped; Your loving Commandment, O YHVH, supported me" We are protected if we just believe. Lead us not into trial, I believe also includes salvation. He delivers you from evil, He protects you from evil and the very deliverance and protection from evil brings you into His salvation. And lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil brings you and me into YHVH’s salvation. We begin to experience the fullness of His salvation, meaning the blessings of the Gospel become ours. When there is protection, He becomes your salvation. Absolute knowledge that our Adonai is your salvation is a part of prayer. There is no fear whatsoever; there is assurance of salvation.
