After Herod the Great's death, his kingdom was divided among his four sons. They were sometimes called "king", but they were more technically known as "tetrarchs", literally "quarter rulers". Herod Antipater was the tetrarch of Galilee and Perea.

Everyone knew #yeshua was much more than an itinerant preacher and faith healer. With his ministry exploding, Galilee was full of wild speculations about his real identity. See also Mark 6:14-16.
